The FRL team has deep experience in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in the United States Patent Office, regularly ranking among the most active law firms at the patent venue. We regularly represent patent owners, including our clients in district court and ITC matters, in inter partes review and ex parte reexamination proceedings.
Our team has been ranked consistently among the top 20 “busiest” PTAB groups in the United States by Legal Metric, involved in more than 100 proceedings annually for both patent owners and petitioners. Additionally, Peter Lambrianakos and Vincent Rubino have been ranked by Docket Alarm among the top 10 attorneys in the United States in securing denials of institution for patent owners.

Representative Experience
- Obtained final written decision preserving Singular Computing’s patent claims for trial and argued Google’s appeal to the Federal Circuit. The co-pending district court case in which Singular sought $1.6 billion in damages settled before closing arguments.
- Defended 70 IPR petitions against patents covering cutting-edge noise cancellation technology without losing any claims.
- Defeated over 20 IPR petitions challenging two patents covering audio/video device integration systems.
