Jacob Ostling has litigated all stages of patent infringement actions in district courts including E.D. Texas, W.D. Texas, New Jersey, Delaware, California, and in the ITC, and has represented patent owners and petitioners before the PTAB and USPTO in over 90 inter partes reviews (“IPRs”) and ex parte reexaminations (“EPRs”). Jacob has extensive experience leading issues of infringement, validity, and damages in cases involving hardware and software technology such as smartphones, mobile payments, acoustic signal processing, semiconductors, cellular networks, secure computing, electronic displays, and lighting.
Jacob routinely takes and defends depositions of key witnesses, while leading discovery. Jacob has also argued numerous Markman hearings resulting in favorable claim constructions for his clients, and has successfully argued discovery and other motions.
Prior to joining Fabricant Rubino & Lambrianakos LLP, Jacob was an associate at Brown Rudnick LLP.
