Joseph “Joe” Baillargeon is a patent litigator and former USPTO patent examiner who brings a rare combination of legal insight, technical fluency, and practical patent office experience to complex intellectual property disputes. He develops efficient, creative, and effective litigation strategies for clients across multiple forums, including federal district court, the International Trade Commission, and post-grant proceedings before the USPTO. Before joining Fabricant Rubino Lambrianakos LLP, Joe practiced at multiple major international law firms, where he represented both patent owners and petitioners in high-stakes patent disputes.
Joe’s technical background informs every stage of his litigation practice. He draws on academic training in engineering, physics, and computer science, as well as nearly a decade of experience in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear reactor operator and propulsion plant supervisor. This background enables him to quickly understand and litigate matters involving a wide range of complex technologies, including cybersecurity, voice recognition, e-commerce, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 5G, artificial intelligence, computer memory, semiconductor manufacturing, lasers, and electromechanical systems.
