Enrique William Iturralde is a partner at Fabricant Rubino & Lambrianakos LLP. A former primary patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Enrique represents a wide array of high-tech clients in patent litigation before federal district courts, the International Trade Commission, the Federal Circuit, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Enrique’s technical experience spans a broad range of cutting-edge technologies in the fields of consumer electronics, semiconductor devices, medical devices, telemedicine systems, vehicular systems, electronic displays, power tools, map-based software, fintech applications, communications networks, cloud computing, graphical and touch-less interfaces, and athletic footwear.
Enrique has extensive experience on both sides of the aisle and in all stages of patent litigation, including conducting pre-suit investigations of potential claims and defenses; obtaining litigation financing and litigating funded cases through trial; preparing pleadings; taking discovery while aligning with experts on damages, infringement, and invalidity issues; briefing and presenting oral argument for claim construction and motion practice; and participating in pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings. In appeals, Enrique has extensive experience handling all briefing and presenting oral argument at the Federal Circuit.
Enrique has successfully represented patent owners and challengers in over 300 inter partes review and reexamination proceedings before the USPTO. Enrique has been recognized by Managing IP as a Top Attorney in PTAB proceedings (2018-2020), by Patexia as a Top Attorney and Best Performing Attorney in PTAB proceedings (2017-2025), and by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in IP Litigation (2022-2025). In 2023, Enrique was recognized as a “Top Lawyer Under 40” by the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Enrique currently serves on the Mitchell Hamline Patent Law Diversity Advisory Group and has been a volunteer with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND). Prior to joining Fabricant Rubino & Lambrianakos LLP, Enrique was a member of patent litigation teams at Brown Rudnick LLP, Shearman & Sterling LLP, and Kenyon & Kenyon LLP. During law school, Enrique served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Michael J. Davis, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
